About

The DEEDS-project creates a network of leading scientists and a knowledge base of relevant research projects related to European decarbonisation pathways. The project organizes a dialogue for co-creation of knowledge and policies with representatives from science, policy, industry and civil society.

What is DEEDS?

Delivering knowledge. Facilitating networks. Building pathways.

A knowledge hub

delivering state-of the art knowledge on decarbonisation pathways and through facilitating knowledge co-creation.

A network

DEEDS (DialoguE on European Decarbonisation Strategies) facilitates stakeholder cooperation and empowerment for a network dedicated to decarbonisation pathways in Europe.

DEEDS aims to support the European Decarbonisation Pathway Initiative (EDPI) and its High-level Panel through creating state-of-the art knowledge on decarbonisation pathways, facilitating a dialogue with and creating a network of leading scientists and a knowledge base of relevant research projects on European decarbonisation pathways.

The European Decarbonisation Pathway Initiative (EDPI) supports EU research and innovation policy by providing science-based evidence and informing decision makers of the main challenges and available routes to decarbonise the European economy towards 2050. The implementation of the EDPI is steered by the High-level Panel (HLP) through the provision of independent strategic advice on objectives and milestones for European decarbonisation strategies. It considers the latest trends, developments, opportunities for the transition to a low-carbons society in Europe. The HLP consists of leaders from Research, Business, NGOs and public bodies.
