The DEEDS Project invites you to the workshop:

“Making the European Green Deal happen: R&I Strategies for

Member States and the EU”

CDMA Building, Brussels

Rue du Champ de Mars 21 / Marsveldstraat 21 Brussels

The European Green Deal’s objective of a Climate Neutral European economy and society by 2050 requires a policy response that must be both broad and comprehensive and seek to maximise benefits for health, quality of life and competitiveness for all Citizens of Europe. Research and Innovation (R&I) are core to the fundamental objectives of the European Green Deal. R&I will define the speed at which decarbonisation can take place, at which costs and with which co-benefits.

This interactive workshop will provide insight into the most cost-effective ways Member States can decarbonise their economies and societies. DEEDS will present products and tools to design pathways and cost-effective R&I strategies to further decarbonisation across sectors, covering energy, mobility and transport, agriculture, industry, cities, social innovation and economics.

The sessions will explore the main insights on decarbonisation developed during the DEEDS project and highlight how R&I strategies will be key in making the European Green Deal a reality. The workshop will also allow participants to use the DEEDS-database on technologies and scenario building.
